RESOLUTION NO. 3656
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATION TO
COMPLETE AND FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE FEDERAL
AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR A GRANT FOR THE
RUNWAY/TAXIWAY LIGHTING, PAVING AND SIGNAGE PROJECT,
AND SUBSEQUENT CONTRACTS RELATING TO THE GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City ofRenton maintains a municipal airport; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to make certain improvements to the runways, taxiway
hghting, paving and signage; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has grant funds available for such work;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to file a grant apphcation with the Federal Aviation
Administration; and
WHEREAS, that grant apphcation requires that the governing body of the City authorize
the filing ofthis grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the Federal
Aviation Administration grant application for the runway/taxiway, hghting, paving and signage
project, and any subsequent contracts related to the grant.
