HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4776 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 7 6 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF RENTON TO RESIDENTIAL-5 DU/AC (R-5), RESIDENTIAL-8 DU/AC (R-8), RESIDENTIAL-10 DU/AC (R-10) AND CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL (CC) (EAST RENTON PLATEAU; FILE NO. A-98-001). WHEREAS, under Chapter 2 (Land Use Districts), of Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No. 4260 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton," as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has not been zoned in the City of Renton; and WHEREAS, said property owners petitioned the City of Renton for annexation and concurrent rezoning, which said annexation having previously been approved and the property annexed to the City of Renton, and the City Council having held two public hearings to consider this zoning application, the first hearing being held on November 18, 1998, and the second hearing being held on February 22, 1999, and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby zoned to Residential-5 DU/AC (R-5), Residential-8 DU/AC (R-8), Residential-10 DU/AC (R-10) and Convenience Commercial (CC), as hereinbelow specified. The Development Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to-wit: 1 ORDINANCE NO. 4776 See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. (Said property, approximately 193 acres, includes properties located north and south of S.E. 128 Street from the Renton city limits to 152ndAvenue, S.E. (if extended.)) SECTION II.
