ORDINANCE NO.4274
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,AMENDING
CHAPTER 10,SALES AND USE TAX,OF TITLE V (FINANCE AND
BUSINESS REGULATIONS)OF ORDINANCE NO.4260 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON"BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 5-10-7 TO ESTABLISH A
TAX APPLICABLE TO NATURAL GAS SALES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON,DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.Chapter 10,Sales and Use Tax,of Title V
(Finance and Business Regulations),of Ordinance No.4260 entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton,Washington"is
hereby amended by adding the following section:
Section 5-10-7:Tax Applicable to Natural Gas Sales.
There is hereby imposed a sales or use tax upon the privilege
of using natural gas or manufactured gas as a consumer.This sales
and use tax shall be applicable to all natural gas used,including
use of brokered natural gas.
SECTION II.This Ordinance shall take effect on July 1,
1990.
