RESOLUTION NO. 3244
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING .THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL . COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
ENTITLED "COMMUTE TRIP REDUCTION ACT IMPLEMENTATION
AGREEMENT."
WHEREAS, the Washington State Legislature enacted the Commute
Trip Reduction Act to reduce vehicle miles traveled per employee
and single occupant vehicle commute trips; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is required by that Act to have
its plans . be.- coordinated with and consistent with the plans of
adjacent jurisdictions and applicable regional plans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton and King County desire to
implement the Commute Trip Reduction Act; and
WHEREAS, the City can achieve cost efficiencies and
administrative consistency by contracting with King County for
implementation;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,
Washington, are hereby authorized to sign the interlocal

cooperative agreement with King County entitled "Commute Trip
Reduction Act Implementation Agreement ."
