RESOLUTION NO. 3265
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY TO
RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING THROUGH KING COUNTY'S CITY
OPTIONAL PROGRAM FOR BUSINESS RECYCLING PROGRAM
ACTIVITIES AND A SPECIAL RECYCLING EVENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has joined in the Comprehensive
Solid Waste Management Plan for King County; and
WHEREAS, under that Plan certain cities have the option of
receiving certain funding assistance from King County under King
County' s City Optional Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has optional programs including
business recycling programs and a special recycling event; and
WHEREAS, King County wishesto provide the sum of $32 , 524 . 00
in 1997 for such City optional programs; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Renton .and King
County to enter into an interlocal agreement to document the terms
and conditions upon which the county will provide such funds to
the City;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an interlocal cooperative agreement with King County
