AN ORDINANCE OF THE. CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, VACATING
THEALLEY.IN BLOCK 15, RENTON HIGHLANDS ADDITION, and
2ESERVING.A. CERTAIN EASEMENT L114TO THE CITY
WHEREAS,- a proper petition for vacating that certain sixteen (16)
foot alley in Block 15, Renton Highlands -Addition, in.the City of'Renton, King
,Caunty,,Washingto'n, was duly filed with .the.City,Clerk of the City of Renton on
or about January 23, 1958, which petition was read at the regular meeting of the,
City, Council onlebrtiary 4, 1958, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, -after due investigation, ;resolved to fix
the 25th day ofMarcb., 1958, as the date of public hearing on said petition
and directed the Clerk to give notice of saidhearing:Ln,the-manner provided by
law; and-VIIEREAS the City-Cl&rk has duly caused notice of such hearing to be
published and to be posted for the time and in the manner provided by law; and
.WHEREAS the public hearing was duly held upon.said petition on the date so fixed
at a regular meeting of the -City Council, and no protest or.objection to the
granting of said petition or -the vacating of said certain alley having been made,
filed or received,,, and the.City Council did at that time vote to grant.said
petition.for vacation, subject to certain reservations as hereinbelow specified-,
and -WHEREAS, the.City Council finds, that the vacating of the. hereinafter described
alley is proper and advantageous. to all concerned and is deemed to be in the public
interest and will not cause injury or damage to any properties or persons,
NOW THEREFORE.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COTJNCILOV THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described alley,. to*,,wit:
That certain alleyway, sixteen. (16) feet in width, in
Block 15,-Renton.Highlands Addition,.all located in.
Renton, King- County,:I&shington,
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY` VACATED; BUT RESERVING -UNTO THE CITY OF RENTON A
PERPETUAL EASEMENT FOR ALL, PUBLIC PURPOSES AND USES, SAID EASEMENT BEING TEN (10)
FEET IN WIDTH WITHIN SAID ALLEY AND BEING DESCRIBZD:ASFOLLOWS:
Five (5) feet on -each side of the center line of that
certain alleyway, sixteen feet in width,..Block 15,
Renton Highlands Addition.
