AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
providing that all persons desiring to build or remodel,
add to, change or move any building, within the City of
Renton, Washington, and all persons desiring to construct
sidewalks, to procure a permit from the City Clerk there-
for, and providing for the payment of a fee therefor.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That all persons after the taking
effect of this ordinance who may desire to build, remodel,
add to, change or move any building and all persons who
desire to construct sidewalks shall be required to procure
a permit from the City Clerk therefor, before commencing
said work.
Section 2. That in the case of the removal of a
building, the same shall be done under the supervision""
of the Street Superintendent.
Section 3. Before any person shall begin the con-
struction of sidewalks that they shall procure the proper
level and line therefor, from the city engineer and shall
be charged with the necessary cost therefor, to be made
on the basis of time required of the city engineer in
giving the same, and all permits granted by the city clerk
hereunder, he shall charge and collect from the applicant
the sum of $0.25, as a fee therefor.
Section 4. Any person violating the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor

and upon conviction therefor shall be fined in any sum
not exceeding the sum of Twenty-five ($25) Dollars.
