RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
THE 1983 COMPREHENSIVE SEWER PLAN TO EXTEND THE CITY'S
SANITARY SEWER SERVICE AREA.
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Health has
declared a portion of the Sierra Heights area a severe health
hazard; and
WHEREAS, an engineering study has been completed and the City
has chosen the route that appears to be the most efficient and
cost effective; and
WHEREAS, the selected route, while designed to serve
properties within the City limits, utilizes. King County right-of-
way; and
WHEREAS, the City must acquire a franchise , from King County
and King County requires that Renton's service area include the
area of the franchise; and
WHEREAS, King County has recognized and approved the 1983
Comprehensive Sewer Plan and approval of this addendum, by the
County, can be accomplished in a shorter time period than the
approval of the 1992 Long-Range Wastewater Management Plan
(Comprehensive Sewer Plan) ; and
WHEREAS, King County' s Review and approval of our 1992 Long-
Range Wastewater Management Plan may not be completed in time to
allow construction of the Sierra Heights sewer in 1992; and
WHEREAS, the addendum to the service area is consistent with
the proposed 1992 Long-Range Wastewater Management Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
.
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The 1983 Comprehensive Sewer Plan is hereby
amended by including the property, described in Exhibit "A, " in
Renton's Sewer Service Area. Sanitary sewer service will be
subject to all City codes including, but not limited to, the
requirement of annexing or acquiring an exemption from Council
prior to connection.

That portion of Section 4, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M., King County,
Washington being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter
of said Section 4;
Thence southerly along the east line of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter
of said Section 4, a distance of 100 feet more or less to an intersection with the
easterly extension of the south line of Lot 6 of the plat of Sierra Heights Division No.
3, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 61 of Plats, page 53, records of
King County, Washington;
Thence westerly along said easterly extension and said southerly lot line of Lot 6 to an
intersection with the easterly right-0f--way margin of 126th Avenue SE;
Thence continuing westerly along the westerly extension of the south line of said Lot
6 to an intersection with the southeast corner of Lot 7 of said plat, said point also lying
on the westerly right-of-way margin of 126th Avenue SE;
Thence continuing westerly along the south lot line of Lot 7 said plat of Sierra Heights
Division No. 3 to an intersection with the east line of Lot 9 said plat;
Thence southerly along said easterly lot line to the southeast comer of said Lot 9;
Thence westerly along the south line of Lots 9 and 10 said plat of Sierra Heights
Division No. 3 to the southwest corner of said lot 10;
Thence northerly along the west line of said Lot 10 to the northwest corner thereof;
Thence continuing northerly along the northerly extension of the westerly lot line of
said lot 10, a distance of 30 feet more or less to an intersection with the south line of
the northeast quarter of said Section 4;
Thence easterly along said south line to an intersection with the southerly extension
of the west line of lot 7, block E of the plat of Albert Balchs Sierra Heights Division No.
5 as recorded in Volume 65 of plats, pages 30 and 31, records of King County,
Washington;
Thence northerly along said southerly extension and the west line of lot 7 said plat,
said west lot line also being the easterly right-of-way of 125th Ave. SE, to a point lying
24 feet north of, as measured parallel to, the north line of said lot 7;
Thence easterly along a line lying 24 feet north of and parallel to said north line of lot
7 to an intersection with the east line of said plat;
Thence southerly along said east line to an intersection with the northwest corner of
lot 9, block 5 of the plat of Albert Balchs Sierra Heights Division No. 4 as recorded in
Volume 61, page 18, records of King County, Washington;
Thence easterly along the north line of said lot 9 to an intersection with the westerly
right-of-way margin of 126th Avenue Southeast;
Thence southerly along said westerly margin to an intersection with the westerly
extension of the north line of lot 11, block 2 said plat of Albert Balchs Sierra Heights
Division No. 4;
Thence easterly along said westerly extension of the north line of lot 11 and
continuing along said north line and its extension easterly to a point of intersection
with the west line of lot 19, block 2, said plat;
Thence northerly along said westerly line to the northwest corner of lot 12, block 2
saidP lat;
thence easterly along the north line of said lot 12 to the northeast corner thereof, said
point also lying on the westerly right-0f-way margin of 128th Avenue SE;
Thence northerly along the westerly right-of-way margin of 128th Avenue SE to a
point of intersection with the westerly extension of the north line of block 4 of the

Thence easterly along said westerly extension and the north line of said block 4 to the
northeast comer of lot 5, block 4 said plat;
Thence southerly along the east line of said lot 5, block 4, and its southerly extension
to an intersection with the south line of block 3 said plat;
Thence westerly along said south line to the southeast corner of lot 1, block 3 said
plat;
Thence north along the east line of lot 1 said plat to the northeast corner thereof, said
point also lying on the southerly right-of-way margin of SE 102nd Street;
Thence westerly along the north line of said lot 1, and said southerly right-of-way
