RESOLUTION NO. 2753
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, PROTESTING
THE CONTINUED IMPOSITION OF THE GARBAGE DUMPING FEE
SURCHARGE.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Renton are paying a
surcharge on the garbage dumping fee; and
WHEREAS, such surcharge was imposed for the purpose of funding
a garbage incinerator; and
WHEREAS, King County has determined that it will not proceed,
in the foreseeable future, with the building of a garbage
incinerator; and
WHEREAS, King County has not removed the garbage dumping fee
surcharge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above findings are true and correct in all
respects.
SECTION II. The City of Renton protests the continued
imposition of the garbage dumping fee surcharge and requests the
King County Council to remove that surcharge.
