RESOLUTION NO. 2686
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONVERT ELECTRICAL
UTILITIES TO AN UNDERGROUND SYSTEM ON NORTH 1ST
STREET BETWEEN BRONSON WAY AND BURNETT AS MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN; AND TO CREATE A
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND
EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTIES
IN SUCH DISTRICT SPECIALLY BENEFITED THEREBY;
NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT TO
SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR
OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE
HELD ON AUGUST 24, 1987 AND CREATING LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 333
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That it is the intention of the City
Council of the City of Renton, Washington, to convert
electrical utilities to an underground system in the
following described area of the City , to-wit:
( a) Description of Local Improvement District No. 333 :
As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "A" which is
made a part hereof as if fully set forth.
(b) Improvements:
As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "B" which is
made a part hereof as if fully set forth.
There shall be included in the foregoing the
acquisition and installation of all necessary valves,
fittings , couplings, connections, equipment and
appurtenances,and the acquisition of any easements, rights-

of-way and land that may be required; and there shall
further be included the performance of such work as may be
incidental and necessary to the foregoing construction and
installation.
The City Council may, in its discretion, modify and
amend the details of the foregoing described improvement,
including the financing thereof, where in its judgment it
appears advisable, provided such modifications and
amendments do not substantially alter the general plan of
said improvement project. All of the foregoing shall be in
accordance with the plans and specifications therefor to be
prepared by the Director of Public Works of the City of
Renton.
SECTION II : The entire cost and expense of said
improvement, unless hereafter timely modified or amended by
the City Council , shall be borne by and assessed against the
property specially benefited by such improvement to be
included in the local improvement district to be
established, embracing as near as may be all property
specially benefited by such improvement. There shall be
included in the cost and expense of said improvements all
cost items specified in RCW 35.44. 020.
SECTION III : All persons who may desire to object to
the improvement herein described are hereby notified to
appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City
Council to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Renton, Washington at 8: 00 P.M. on August 24, 1987, which

time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters
relating to said proposed improvement and all objections
thereto and for determining the method of payment for said
improvement. The City Clerk shall give notice of said
hearing and said proposed improvement as required by law.
SECTION IV: The Public Works Director , or his duly
authorized representative, is hereby directed to submit to
the City Council, on or before the aforesaid hearing date,
all data and information required by law to be submitted .

That portion of the West 1/2 of Section 17, Township 23 North, Range 5
East, W.M. more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most Southerly corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Renton Farm
Plat as recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, Page 97, records of King County,
Washington, which point of beginning is also on the Northeasterly line of
Commercial Waterway No. 2;
Thence Northwesterly along said Northeasterly line of Commercial
Waterway No. 2 to an intersection with the West line of the West 1/2 of said
Section 17;
Thence Northerly along said subdivision line to an intersection with the
Westerly extension of a line perpendicular to the Westerly line of Block 21,
Renton Farm Plat No. 5, as recorded in Volume 15 of Plats, Page 22 records of
King County, Washington, said line intersects the Southeasterly line of said
Block 21 at a point 5.77 feet Southeasterly of, as measured along the
Southeasterly line of said Block 21, the Southwest corner of said Block 21;
Thence Easterly along said Westerly production and said perpendicular
line an approximate distance of 132.92 feet more or less to an intersection
with a line that lies parallel to the West line of said Block 21;
Thence Southerly along said parallel line an approximate distance of 60
feet more or less to an intersection with the Westerly Production of a line
perpendicular to the Easterly line of said Block 21, said line intersects the
Easterly line of said Block 21 at a point 384.45 feet South of, as measured
along the East line of said Block 21, the Northeast corner thereof;
Thence Easterly along said Westerly production and said perpendicular
line an approximate distance of 117 feet more or less to said reference point
on the East line of said Block 21;
Thence Southerly along the East line of said Block 21 a distance of
139.92 feet to the Southeast corner thereof;
Thence Southeasterly along the Southeasterly extension of the
Northeasterly Right-of-Way margin of N. 1st Street, crossing Williams Ave. N.
to the Southwest corner of Block 25, Renton Farm Plat No. 5 as recorded in
Volume 15 of Plats, Page 22, records of King County, Washington;

Thence Northerly along the West line of said Block 25 a distance of 10.5
feet to a line which lies 100 feet Southerly of and parallel to the North
line of said Block 25;
Thence Easterly along said parallel line to a point on the Easterly line
of Lot 7, said Block 25;
Thence Southerly along said Easterly line of Lot 7, Block 25 to an
intersection with the Northeasterly Right-of-Way margin of N. 1st Street
extended;
Thence Southeasterly along the extension of said Right-of-Way margin to
a point on the Westerly line of Lot 1, said Block 25, said point lying 10
feet Southerly of the Northwest corner of Lot 1, as measured along the
Westerly line thereof;
Thence Easterly along a line which lies 10 feet Southerly of and
parallel to the North line of said Lot 1, Block 25 to a point on the Easterly

Thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 1, Block 25 to the
most Southerly corner thereof;
