RESOLUTION NO. 2520
WHEREAS, on July 17, 1983, MARK BALDRIDGE and JEFF SPIRY
observed smoke in a mobile home residence; and
WHEREAS, they immediately commenced to extinguish the fire
and rescue the occupant from her burning home; and
WHEREAS, the Renton Fire Department acknowledges that their
quick and courageous actions saved the life of Mrs. Jesse Ritzman.
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Renton,
acting on behalf of all citizens, does congratulate these young men
for their heroic deed and applauds them as a fine example of resourceful
and brave youth.
