RESOLUTION NO. 2378
WHEREAS the City of Renton has heretofore made
application to the State of Washington Traffic Safety Commission
for a grant of federal funds for the purpose of reprogramming the
traffic signals on kainier Avenue South for the purpose of
reducing accidents , and
WHEREAS a state approved grant application has now
been delivered to the City of Penton by the Washington Traffic
Safety Commission, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The above statements are found to be true
and correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The City of Renton, Washington, a municipal
corporation, acting as a non-charter code city under the laws and
statutes of the State of Washington, herewith accepts the grant
offer of the United States of America in the total sum of $11 , 100
to be used for the Update Computer-Supervised Signals , identification
No. 81-93 . 01 . 02-613-2A.
SECTION III : The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized
t-o sign any and all documents necessary to achieve the purpose of
this Resolution.
