HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2428 , E CITY OF RENTON, 'NASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2428 ---------- WHEREAS the City of Renton following petition by more than two— thirds ( 2 / 3 ) of adjoining property owners , pursuant to the requirement of RCW 35 . 79 wishes to vacate a portion of a certain street (VAC 5-81 — Southeast 18th Street ) as hereinafter more particularly described , to—wit : (Rolling Hills Village Homes Association, Inc. ) See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth . WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to fix a date for public hearing thereon , NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, D© RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS : SECTION—I : That the 7th day of December , 1981 , at the hour of 8 : 00 P .M. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building , Renton , King County , Washington , be and is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing on the vacation of the aforedescribed street (VAC 5-81 — Southeast 18th Street ) which said hearing date is not ti I more than sixty ( 60 ) days nor less than twenty ( 20 ) days from the date of passage of this Resolution . SECTION—II : The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided by RCW 35 . 79 and an and or all erson Y / p s interested therein or ob1' ecting tb, said vacation may then appear and be -heard thereon , or they may file their written objections thereto with the City Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on said vacation . SECTION—III : The City Council may determine at or prior to said hearing whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine the fair market value of the property sought to be vacated as provided for in Ordinance No . 2349 ; the City likewise reserves the right to retain an easement for public utility and other public purposes over any of the portion determined to be vacated .
