RESOLUTION N0 . 2343
4JHEREAS a Petition has been filed with the Citv Clerk of
the City of Renton on or about May 23 , 1980 , pursuant to the require-
ments of RCW 35 . 79 , petitioning for the vacation of a portion of a
certain street , as hereinafter more particularly described, and saici
petition having been signed by the ot�mers of more than two-thirds of
the property abutting upon a portion of said street sou¢ht to be vacated,
and same being described as follo���s :
As incorporated herein as per Exhibit °'A" which is
made a gart hereof as if fully set forth
(A portion of NW 7th Street)
NO�v' THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REIdT0i�1 ,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOT�aS :
SECTION I : That the 14th dav of July, 1980 , at the hour
of �3 : 00 P .M. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building ,
Renton, i�ing County, �lashington, be and is hereby fixed as the time
and place when the aforesaid Petition for vacating the aforesaid
portion of N.W. 7th Street shall be heard and determined, which said
hearing date is not more than sixty nor less than twenty days from
the date of passage of this Resolution.
SECTION II : The City Clerk is hereUy authorized and
directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided by RCW
35 . 79 . 020 and any and/or all persons interested therein or objecting to
said vacation may then appear and be heard thereon, or they may file
their written objections thereto u�ith the City Clerk at or prior to
the time of hearing on said vacation.
SECTIOI�T III : The City Council sha11 determine , as provided
in RCti�J 35 . 79 . 030 as to whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine
the fair market value of the property sought to be vacated as provided ',
for in Ordinance T1o. 2349 and the amount of compensation to be paid I
by the Petitioner-O�mers to the City for such vacation L�ut which said
amount shall not exceed one-half of the appraised value of the area

The Citv likewise reserves the right to retain an
easement for public utility and related purposes .
