CITY OF. RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2352
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON , DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : That there has previously been established for
the City by Resolution No. 1953 , an allowance of 15G per mile for
mileage for personal car and travel when such travel is authorized
for a City official or employee.
SECTION II: It appears that 15(,% per mile is no longer a
sufficient reimbursement considering the cost of gasoline, maintenance,
repairs , and increased expenditure for purchasing an automobile , the
sum of 20(� per mile is hereby established as the reimbursement
rate for authorized mileage. That figure is presently the figure
accepted by the Internal Revenue Service as ligitimate reimbursement .
The reimbursement rate shall hereafter be reviewed annually and
shall be increased if the Internal Revenue Service allowance for
reimburseable mileage is increased. If the Internal Revenue Service
allowance does not increase for any year, then the City' s reimbursement
figure for mileage shall not increase.
SECTION III: All other Resolutions or Ordinances dealing
with travel reimbursement or mileage unless expressly modified by
this Resolution shall remain in full force and affect .
