AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON,
VACATING A PORTION OF ALLEY (SALVATION ARMY - VAC-01-82)
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating� a portion of an
alley north of S . Tobin Street between Burnett Avenue S . and
Williams Avenue S . , Renton,King County , Was was duly
filed with the City Clerk on or about January 8 , 1982 , and said
petition having been signed by the owners re presenting more than
two-thirds (2/3) of the property abutting u;Ipon such alley sought
to be vacated; and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No . 2434 passed
and approved on January 25 , 1982 , and after due investigation,
did fix and determine the lst day of March , 1982 at the hour of
8 : 00 P .M. in the City Council Chambers of the Citv of Renton
to be the time and place for a public hearing thereon, and
the City Clerk having given due notice of 81
uch hearing in the
manner provided by law, and all persons having been heard in
favor or in opposition thereto ; and the City Council having
considered all information and arguments presented to it , and
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works and the Planning
Department of the City of Renton having duly considered said
petition for said vacation, and having found same to be in the
public interest and for the public benefit ; and no injury or
damage to any person or properties will result from such vacation .
NOW THEREFORE , THE CITY COU4CIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON ,
WASHINGTONQ , DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following described prtion of alley ,
to-wit :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a Dart
hereof as if fully set forth herein

BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED with no fele to be paid unto
the City by Petitioner-owners and subject ti an easement to be
retained by the City for ptility and related purposes over ,
across , under and on all of the aforedescribed property .

SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage , approval and five days after its p-ablication
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
Office of Records and Elections , and as otherwise provided by
law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 15th day of March , 1982 .
