HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2266 CITY OF RFNIU , WILMINGTON Resolution No. 2266 .VAC 10-79 MEAS a Petition has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about March 28, 1979, pursuant to the requirements of WJW 35.79, petitioning for the vacation of a portion of a certain street, as hereinafter more particularly described, and said petition having been signed by the owners of more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon a portion of said street sought to be vacated, and same being described as follows:i See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein (25 ft. stripof street right-of-way wa lying outside the new alignment g Y Y g g� SakamusSuns t Blvd. N.E. adjacent to Jack-in-the-Box property) (Alec NON THEREFORE, THE CITY CXXINCIL OF THE CITY OF RENIIC T, WHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECT'ION :I: . That ,the 4th of June, 1979, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, Renton, King County, Washington, be and is hereby fixed'as the time and place when the aforesaid Petition for •,vacating the aforesaid portion;of street shall be heard and de- termined, which said hearing date is not more than sixty nor less than twenty days from the date of passage of this Resolution. SECTION II: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of said time and hearing as provided by RCW 35.79.020 and any and/or all persons interested therein or objecting to said vacation may then appear and be heard thereon, or they may file their written objections thereto with the City Clerk at or prior to the time of hearing on said vacation. SECTION III: The City Council shall determine, as provided in 11(W 35.79.030 as to whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine the fair market value of the property sought to be vacated as provided for in Ordinance No. 2349 and the amount of compensation to be paid by the Petitioner-Owners to the City for such vacation but which said amount shall not exceed one-half of the appraised value of the area to be vacated. _ The City likewise reserves the right to retain an easement for public i page 2 t , Resolution No. 2266 VAC 10-79 utility and related purposes. EXHIBIT "A" Vac. #10 -79 Resolution No. 2266 A strip of land, 25 ft. wide, lying between a line 50 ft. southeasterly of and 75 feet southeasterly of as measured at right angles from the centerline of the new alignment of Sunset Blvd. NE (SR 900) as shown on pages 17 and 18 of State Highway right-of-way and alignment plans for SR 900-116th Ave. SE to 138th Ave. SE dated and approved March 3, 1972 more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the SW corner of Block 38, replat of Blocks 12, 13, 14, 36, and 37 and 38 Corrected Plat of Renton Highlands No. 2 as recorded in Volume 59 of Plats, pages 52 and 53 records of King County, Washington; thence N. 35°42'00" E. along the northwesterly line of said Block 38 a distance of 150 feet to the true point of beginning; Thence continuing N. 35°42'00" E. a distance of 435.4 feet; thence N. 54°18'00" W. a distance of 25 feet to a line which lies 50 feet south- easterly of as measured at right angles from the above described center line of Sunset Blvd. NE; thence S. 35°42'00" E. along said line a distance of 435.4 feet; Thence S. 54°18'00" E. a distance of 25 feet to the true point of beginning; As situated within the NW 1/4 of Section 9, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M. 0 • .1 1 . i • • 4.
