CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION P10. 2296
WHEREAS it has been determined by the City Council that
serious problems may result in the northwest quadrant of the 'City as
hereinafter more particularly described if unlimited construction
is permitted for any multiple dwellings , including condominiums , or
commercial or industrial buildings , due to insufficient and inadequate
street access for ingress and egress, and in particular for access
by emergency vehicles, and that' such existing problems may seriously
affect the public health, safety and well-being of the community, and
• in particular the residents within the area, and
WHEREAS . the City, Council ha_s heretofore passed an Ordinance

changing the Comprehensive Use Plan designation for the within described
x.
area to a single family re's.'idential :designation in view of the above
mentioned problems , among others , and .
WHEREAS the City Council has referred the subject of
streets in the hereinafter described area to the Planning and Development
Committee, and
WHEREAS heretofore the City has adopted Resolution No. 2264
establishing am_or-sur on certain construction, and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City
to continue a moratorium on certain construction pending completion
of the present studies and review, including public hearings thereon, and
WHEREAS the question of the rezoning of the subject property
is pending before the Hearing Examiner, NOW 'THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS : .
SECTION I : The above statements and recitals are hereby
found to be true and correct in all respects .

SECTION II : The moratorium heretofore established is -
extended for a period of ninety ( 90:) days from date hereof.
