CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
Resolution No. 2304
WHEREAS a Petition has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of
Renton on or about October 10, 1979, pursuant to the requirements of RCW 35.79,
petitioning for the vacation of a portion of a certain public right of way, as hereinafter
more particularly described, and said petition having been signed by the owners of
more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon a portion of said public right of
way sought to be vacated, and same being described as follows:
As incorporated herein as per Exhibit "A" which is made a part hereof as
if fully set forth.
Between N.E. Sunset Blvd and Kirkland Avenue N.E. VAC 18-79 (Citizens
Federal Savings & Loan Assn)
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That the 26th of November, 1979, at the hour of 8:00 P.M.
at the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, Renton, King County,
Washington, be and is hereby fixed as the time and place when the aforesaid Petition
for vacating the aforesaid portion of public right of way shall be heard and determined,
which said hearing date is not more than sixty nor less than twenty days from the
date of passage of this Resolution.
SECTION II: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give
notice of said time and hearing as provided by RCW 35.79.020 and any and/or all
persons interested therein or objecting to said vacation may then appear and be heard
thereon, or they may file their written objections thereto with the City Clerk at or
prior to the time of hearing on said vacation.
SECTION III: The City Council shall determine, as provided in RCW 35.79.030
as to whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine the fair market value of the
property sought to be vacated as provided for in Ordinance No. 2349 and the amount
of compensation to be paid by the Petitioner-Owners to the City for such vacation
but which said amount shall not exceed one-half of the appraised value of the area
to be vacated.

The City likewise reserves the right to retain an easement for public utility
and related purposes.

REVISED LEGAL DESCRIPTION
That portion of Block 38, replat of blocks 12, 13, 14, 36, 37 and 38
corrected plat of Renton Highlands No. 2 commencing at the most
westerly corner of said block 38 thence North 35°42'00" East along
the West Line thereof, which is also the Easterly margin of Sunset
Blvd. a distance of 850.52 ft. to the true point of beginning; con-
tinuing North 35°42'00" East along said margin 142.00 ft. to the
most Northerly corner of said block 38, which point is also the
intersection of said Easterly margin of Sunset Blvd. with the South-
westerly margin of "K" Street, thence North 33°34'30" West along the
extension of said Southwesterly margin of "K" Street 26.73 ft. thence
South 35°42'00" West a distance of 152.0 ft. more or less; thence
south 54°18'00" East a distance of 25 ft. to the true point of
beginning.
