RESOLUTION NO. 2089
WHEREAS King County School District No. 403 is the owner
of the below described property, generally known as the Earlington
School site, and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best public interest and
for the public benefit to acquire said property by the City of Renton
as a neighborhood park and for related purposes , and
WHEREAS the City is willing to maintain and improve said
facilities for aforestated purpose, and
WHEREAS King County is willing, by and through its FORWARD
THRUST PARK FUNDS, to allocate the sum of $52 ,500.00 unto the City
of Renton for the purpose of acquisition and development of said
site, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON as follows :
SECTION I : The aforestated recitals are hereby found to be
tree and correct in all respects.
SECTION II : The above referenced property is hereby described
as follows, to-wit :
Lots 15 through 20, Block 3, Earlington Addition as recorded in
Volume 14 of Plats, Page 7, records of King County, Washington.

SECTION III : The City of Renton, acting by and through its
Mayor and City Council, hereby requests King County to allocate and
remit unto the City the sum of $52,500. 00 from its Forward Thrust
Park Fund for the acquisition and development of the so called
"Old Earlington Elementary School Site" , as described hereinabove.
SECTION IV: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute any and all documents reasonably necessary
to effectuate the above stated purposes.
