CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 1889
WHEREAS the R and of Directors of Renton School District No. 403
heretofore passed its Resolution No. 675 on or about December 20, 1973 placing
a "SCHOOL OPERATING LEVY" on the ballot for February 5, 1974, in the total sum
of Nine Million Eight Hundred Fifty Two Thousand Nine Hundred Forty One Dollars
($9,852,941.00) which levy is to be collected in the calendar year 1975 for
the purpose of paying exnenditirres of maintenance and operation, and
WHEREAS such funds are urgently needed to operate and maintain the
Renton School system at a minimum level, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The above recitals and facts are hereby found to be
true and correct in all respects.
SECTION II: The City of Renton acting by and through its City Council
hereby calls upon. the qualified electors of the Renton School District to approve
said operating levy as above set forth and to urge all interested citizens to
fully support such measure.
