HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4704 Amends: ORD 4571 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE N0. 4704 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 4-31-4 . 1 .B, 6, 4-31-4 .2 .B. 6, 4-31-4 .3.B. 6, 4- 31-5.B. 6, 4-31-6.B.6 AND 4-31-7 .B. 6, OF CHAPTER 31, ZONING CODE, OF TITLE IV (BUILDING REGULATZUNS) , OF ORDINANCE NO. 4260 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON" BY P.DDING PARK TRAILERS AND RECREATIONAL VEHICLE5 AS ALLOWED TYPES OF TEMPORP.RY DWELLINGS FOR C,ASES OF MEDICAL HARDSHIPS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SECTION I. ' Section 4-31-4 . 1 of Chapter 31, Zoning Code, of Title IV (Building Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adding the following subsection which reads as follows : 4-31-4 .1.B.6 : Temporary Uses : Temporary manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle for medical hardship. a. A manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle may be permitted as a temporary dwelling on the same lot as a permanent dwelling, provided: (1) The applicant demonstrates the temporary dwellin.g is , necessary to provide daily care to an individual certified by a physician as needing such care; and (2) The primary provider of daily care shall reside on- site; and (3) The manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle together with the permanent residence shall meet the --- ORDINANCE N0. 4704 ' setback, height, building footprint, and lot coverage provisions for. the applicable zone; and (4) The manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle shall have adequate water and sewer/septic service; and (5) The manufactured home shall comply with HUD standards . The recreational vehicle and park trailer shall meet requirements and be labeled in accordance with Department of Labor and Industries standards . I b. The temporary manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle permit for medical hardship shall be effective for twelve (12) months . Extension of the temporary manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle permit may be approved in twelve (12) month increments subject to demonstration of continuing medical hardship. ' c. The manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle shall be removed within ninety (90) days of : (1) The expiration of the permit for the temporary � manufactured home, park trailer, or recreational vehicle; or (2) The cessation of provision of daily care . SECTION II. Section 4-31-4 .2 of Chapter 31, Zoning Code, of Title IV (Building Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adding the following subsection which reads as follows : 4-31-4 .2 .B.6 : Temporary Uses : Temporary manufactured home, ' park trailer, or recreational vehicle for medical hardship. 2 ORDINANCE N0. 4704 a. Section 4-31-7 of Chapter 31, Zoning Code, of Title IV (Building Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adc3.ing the following subsection which reads as follows : 4-31-7 .B. 6 : Temporary Uses : Temporary manufactured home, I park trailer, or recreational vehicle for medical hardship. a.
