A-96-001; ECF 96-026) . WHEREAS, under Chapter 31 (Zoning Code) , of Title IV (Building Regulations) , of Ordinance No. 4260 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton, " as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow . described has not been zoned in the City of Renton; and . WHEREAS, said .property owners petitioned the City of Renton for assignment of zoning classifications prior to annexation, and the City Council having held two public hearings to consider this prezoning application, the first hearing being held on March 18, 1996, and the second hearing being held on April 22 , 1996, and said zoning request being in conformity with the City' s Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having . been. heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : ' 1 ORDINANCE NO. 4598 SECTION I . The following described property in the City of Renton shall bear the following zoning designations once annexed to the City of Renton: Heavy Industrial (IH) , Commercial Arterial (CA) , and Residential Multi-Family Infill (RM-I) as hereinbelow specified, , the Development Services Director is hereby authorized and directed � to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to-wit : See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. (Said property, approximately 96 acres, is bounded by 68th Avenue South on the west, Martin Luther King Jr. Way on the north and the City of Renton corporate boundary on the south. ) SECTION II . This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and five days after its publication.
