HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4399 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON � ORDINANCE NO. 4399 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM G-1 (GENERAL USE) TO R-3 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTI-FAMILY) (FORREST CRESTE APARTMENTS/RAYMOND A. LABLANC REZONE; FILE NO. R-093-88) . WHEREAS, under Chapter 31 (Zoning Code) of Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 4260 known as the "Code af General Ordinances of the City of Renton, " as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as G-1 (General Use) ; and WHEREAS, a proper application for change of zone classification of said property has been filed with the Development Services 1 Division on or. about September 16, 1988, which application was duly referred to the Hearing. . Examiner for investigation, study, and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about December 22, 1992, and said matter having been duly considered by the Hearing Examiner, and said zoning request having been recommended for approval; and the matter having been appealed to ths City Council of the City of Renton, and said City Council having amended the recommendation of the Examiner, and said zoning being in conformity with the city' s Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in ' opposition thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : 1 ORDINANCE NO. 4399 SECTION I. The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to R-3 (Medium Density Multi-Family) , as hereinbelow specified, subject to the findings, conclusions, and decision of the Hearing Examiner dated January 18, 1993 as amended by the Council on April 5, 1993, and subject further to restrictive covenants filed under King County Auditor' s File No. 93041b0532 and which said covenants are hereby � incorporated and made a part hereof as if fully set forth, the Development Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to I change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to-wit: See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. .(.Said .property, -approximately 11 . 93 acres, is located east of Duvall Avenue and south of Park Terrace, on the nor,theast corner of Duvall Avenue and N.E. 6th Street/S.E. � 12�4th Street (if extended) SECTION II. This Ordinance shal.l be effective upon its passage, approval, and five days after its publ.ication.
