THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF TAX LEVIES NE�E5$ARY TO RAISE THE
AMOUNT OF ESTIMATED E',XPENDITURES FOR THE �IEAR 1994 AS
REQUIRED BY RCW 84.52.020. AND AUTHORIZING THE CTTY �LERR
TO CERTIFY SUCH BUD(�ET OR ESTIMATE OF THE AMQUNT TO 8.�
RAISED BY TABATION ON THE ASSE$SED VALUATI�?N O�' 3'.�IE
PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON, WAS$I�G�'ON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON �O ORDAII�
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Pursuant to the requirements of RCW 84.. 52 . 0�0,
the City of Renton shall annually certify to King County the amount
of levies to be made in suppo'rt of the City for the ensuing �ear,
in total and by indiv.idual fund:
It is hereby certified .that the estimat�ed amount necessary to
be raised by taxa.tion for the calendar. year. .. 1994 is the surn o.f
$12, 001, 808 General. Levy and $1,220,448 Excess: Levies; and said
amount of tax levy is necessary to be levied upon the real and
personal property subject to taXation in the City of Renton fo.r tl�e
purpose of raising necessary revenues for said Cit� for the
calendar year 1994, to wit:

Provided, that where state statute stipulates another rate on
a class of personal property, such rate shall apply; and provided

further that in the event such rate, when extended, would generate
taxes in excess of the maximum amount allowed by law, then such
rate shall be reduced to the rate that would generate such maximum
amount.
SECTION II. These taxes are levied for the purpose of
raising revenue sufficient to pay the principal and interest upon
the general bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton, the General
Fund, and provide for the expenses of the various departments of
the municipal government of the City of Renton for the fiscal year i
beginning January l, 1994, and ending December 31, 1994 . The final
budget for the City of Renton is to be adopted and completed as
specified by law.
SECTION III . The taxe.s collected from these Ievies, together
with estimated revenues from sources other than taxation,
constitute the appropriations of the City of Renton°. .for the fiscal
year 1994, and shall be appropriated, itemized and classified in
the Annual Budget for the fiscal year 1994 .
SECTION IV. A certified copy of this ordinance shall be
transmitted to the Clerk of the King County Council and the King
County Assessor' s Office and such other governmental bodies as
provided by law.
SECTION V. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval, and five days after publication.
