ORDINANCE NO. 4381
AN ORDINANCE OF TSE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
CHAPTER 12, TRAFFIC CODE, OF TITLE % (TRAFFIC) OF
ORDINANCE NO. 4260 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF RENTON" BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 10-12-27
MAKING IT A VIOLATION FOR MOTORISTS TO CUT ACROSS PRIVATE
PRAPERTY TO AVOID TRAFFIC SIGNS AND DECLARING ANY
VIOLATION TO BE AN INFRACTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Chapter 12, Traffic Code, of Title X (Traffic) ,
of Ordinance No. 4260 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the
City; of Renton, Washington" is hereby amended by adding a new
section which reads as follows.: .
Section 10-1.2-2.7.: A�oiding. Inter.section. .
It .is unlawful. for .any_� pe�rson oper.atin.g a motor� vehicle. on the.
roadways of the City o.f. Renton, upo.n, approaching . or. le.aving an_
intersection, to proceed across any private property in such a way
as to avoid the intersection or any traffic control device
controlling the intersection, unless so directed by lawful
authority. Any violation of this section shall be considered an
infraction and punishable by a monetary penalty of $47 . 00 .
SECTION II . This ordinance shall be effective upon its ,
passage, approval, and thirty days after publication.
