RESOLL'TION N0. ��
WHEREAS a Petition has been filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Renton on or about November 11 , 1971 , petitioning for the vacation
of a portion of a certain street as hereinafter more particularly describe�
and said peta.tion having been signed by the owners of more than two-thirds
of the property owners abutting upon said portian of street sought to be
vacated, same being described as follows, to-wit:
That portion of Houser Way lying between the NcrtM
right of way line of North 4th Street and the South
right of way line of 8th Avenue Narth, as shown on
th� plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL
� OF �HE CITY OP RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SEC a0N I : That the �2,0�"Hday of December, 1971, at the hour
of 8: 00 P.M. at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, Renton ,
Washington, be and is hereby fixed as the time and place when the aforesai�7
Petition for vacating the aforesaid portion of stz^eet shall be heard and

SECTION II: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and direcrted
to give notice of said time and hearing as provided1�by law, and any and
all p.ersons interested therein or objecting to said vacation may then

appear and be heard thereon, or they may file their wrltten ob�ections
thereto with the City Clerk prior to or at the fiime of �ne hearing on
said vacatior�. The City Council shall determine, at or priori to any such
public hearing as tq whether an appraisal shall be secured to determine
the fair market value of the ros ert�sou ht�to�e vacate�or�wa,iveg the

same; and �he City further reserves the ri�ht to retain an easement for
publie utilit�.ea and rel�ted purposes within the street right of way
sought to be vacafied.
