RE ANNEXATION ELECTION TALBOT HILli AREA
WHEREAS the City of Renton is a Municipal Corp�ration of
the Second Class under the laws of the State of Washington, and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interest of the
owners and residents of that certain parcel of property hereinafter
described and being adjacent to the present limits of the City of
Renton, to be annexed unto the City of Renton, and it is hereby
further found and determined that it is to the best interest and
serving the general welfare of the City of Renton to annex said
territory hereinbelow described which is contiguous and adjacent to
the City of Renton, and said parcel of property constituting an
integral part of the Renton area; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION �I : It is hereby found and determined that all of
the above recitals and findings are true and correct in all respects
and that the best interest and general welfare of the City of Renton,
as well as the owners and residents of the area sought to be annexed

to-wit:
All of Tracts 9 to 22 , 24 to 33 , 63 , 64 � 72 , Renton
Co-op Coal Company' s Acre Tracts Plat No . 2 , according to
the Plat recorded in Valume 9 of Plats, page 27, records of
King County, WashingtQn:
Together with those portions of the following described
streets:
(1) Shattuck Street, between the North line of 14th
Avenue South and the Easterly production of the North
line of Tract 72 , said sub-division.
C2) Talbot Road, between the North line of 14th Avenue
South and the Easterly production of the South line of
Tract 35 , said sub-division.
(3) 98th Avenue South, betcaeen the North line of 14th
Avenue South and East�rly margin of Talbot Road.
C4) 14th Avenue South, between the Westerly margin of
100th Avenue Southeast and the Southerly production of
the West line of Tract 72 , said Sub-division.
All situate in King County, Washington
SECTION II: The number of voters residing in the said
territory to be annexed is approximately 46 in number, as nearly
as may be determined.

SECTION III : The City of Renton therefore prays that an
election be called by the King County Council, and as otherwise
provided by law, to be held among the qualified voters within the
territory described hereinabove upon the question of such annexation,
the cost of such election to be borne by the City of Renton. There
shall also be submitted to the electorate of the territory sought
to be annexed a proposition that all property within the area
annexed shall , upon annexation, be assessed and taxed at the same
rate and on the same basis as the property of such annexing city,
� to-wit, the City of Renton, is assessed and taxed to pay for any
�hen outstanding indebtedness of the City of Reriton to which the
above area is annexed, contracted prior to , or existing at the date
of annexation.
It is further found and determined that the City of Renton' s
Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and on file with the City Clerk and
the King County Auditor' s office, includes the area hereinabove
described, and upon approval of the annexation by the electorate
of the above area, the Comprehensive Plan, as amended, pertaining to
such described area, shall be simultaneously adopted.
