RESOLUTION N0. ���,'��
WHEREAS the SUBURBAN MAYORS ASSOCIATION at its regular '
meeting on or about October 16 , 1969 passed and adopted a certain
Resolution �egarding certain legal action against the Seattle-King
County Health Department and the officials involved with said
governmental agency, and
WHEREAS various cities , including the City of Renton, have
been unable to come to any agreement with said Seattle-King County
Health Department regarding any compensation to be paid to such
agency and services rendered, if any, and to be rendered , pursuant
to the provision of Chapter 51 , Extraordinary Session Laws of 1967 , and
WHEREAS various and diverse claims and counter claims exist
between the parties which can not be presently resolved, and
WHEREAS it is advisable and in the best interest of the
City of Renton to join with other cities similarly sit�xat�lcitn bring
action against said Seattle-King County Health Department et al ,
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SEC�TION I: The above recitals and findings are hereby found
to be true and correct and same are �d��t�d herewith, together with
the princi}�J.�s specified in the aforementioned Resolution of the
'�Suburban Mayors Association" adopted on or about October 16 , 1969 .
SECTTON II : The City of Renton hereby agrees to join and
associate itself with other cities of King County to commence action
in���the Superior Court in and for the County of K��t.� against the
Seattle-King County Health Department et al for the reasons and on
the grounds specified in that certain Resolution of Suburban Mayors
Association and upon such additional grounds as may be hereafter
determined.

It is further agreed that the cities involved shall
retain independent legal counsel to timely commence such action and
that the City of Renton will pay its equitable prorata share of any
such expenses as may be hereafter agreed upon.
