WHExEAS the preseatly existing strilaebetween Pacific Car � Fouadry aad �
certain unions has been in existence for many weeke past, and
WHEREAS as a result of such interruptioa considerable damage a�l iacon-
venience has beea cauaed not only to the parties a€fected but auch strike aad
reaultiug economic harm aad loss being also to the public in general and to the
citizeas of the City of Reaton, and
WHBREAS the City of Renton honeatly and sincerely believes that every
effort should be made by and be���een the representatives of labor aad management,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THS CITY COtR�iCIL OF THE CITY OF REN'�'0^T,
WASB?NG1�ON, ae followa:
SBCTION I: The City of Renton herebq calls upon the Pacific Car and
Foundry and the various unions and labor iaterests, aad their respecCive represeaz*�� ,
tives,and requests that immediate steps be taken to terminate the harmful and
damagiag strike aad interruptions that have occurred end to forthwith engage ia
serious sud continuiag bargaining to terminate aad end the strike so as to elimi+�.��^
further ecoaoa�i.c loss to tbe parties immediately affected thereby and to the public
ia general.
The City of Reaton hereby offers its good offices to aid and aesist a�
of the parties ia briagiag tbis matter to a epeedy eod succassful conclusioa. ,
