RESOLUTION NO. 11b0
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has a vital interest in the traffic problem of
this community; and,
WHEREAS, there are over 30, 000 people employed in Renton's industrial
plants constituting a major source of revenue to t3ze� State of "Washington, and
WHEREAS, many thousands of these people live in areas other than Rentonf I
and, '�
WHEREAS, these people driving to and from wor� create a traffic problem
on the presently inadequa.te and unsafe highways through Renton; and,
WHEREAS, the industrial growth in the area of Renton, Kent, Auburn, and
Bellevue is being thwarted by the lack of completion of Federal Limited Access
Highway 1-RE; now,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the City Council of the
City' of R enton,
That the above findings are true and correct in all ydspects
and that the �Washington Good Roads Asso�iation go on record,
together with the City of Renton, in favoring the early com- ,
pletion o,£ Federal Limited Access Highway # 1-RE. ''
