AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTION 1-2501 OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE) OF ORDINANCE
N0 . 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF RENTON" RELA'�NG TO ACCUMULATED SICK LEAVE BENEFITS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, WASHINGTON , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : There is hereby added and established a new
sub-section (E) to Section 1-2501 of Title I (Administr.ative) of
Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Renton" reading as follows :
1-2501 = (E) - Accumulated Sick Le'ave Benefit. Each City
employee as herei.n defined shall, upon his retirement from service,'as
provided by law, or upon his voluntary separation whlle an employee in
good standing, receive a cash amount which shall be equal to one-half
day' s pay for the position or grade last permane�tly held by such
employee for each day of accumulated sick leave then standing to such
� employee ' s credit on the records of the City . The aforecited benefit
shall not apply to any employee who is discharged for cause or terminates
for cause at the �uest of the City.
� SECTION II : Any and all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewi.th are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall .be in full force and
effect from and after its passage , approval and legal publication.
