BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITX COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON, Tn1ASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 10-1201 - SPEED LIMITS - of
Title X CTraffic) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton'� is hereby a7nended to read as
follows :
Subsection 10-1201 - SPEED LIMITS:
The speed li.mit on all stree���within the City Limits
is hereby established to be twenty-fi.ve miles per hour
C25 m.p.h. ) unless otherwise posted by the Ci.ty or the
State of inlashington High�ray Commission, including the
follocaing designated streets constituting a part of the
State Highway System:
l. South 3rd Street (S.R. 900 eastbound) from Rainier
Avenue South (S.R. 167 ) to Mill Avenue South.
2. Mill Avenue South (S.R. 900 northbound) from South
3rd Street to Bronson Way South.
3. Branson GTay North and Bronson Way SoutI-i CS.R. 900 )
from Main Avenue South to Sunset Boulevard North.
4. South 2nd Street (S .R. 900 westbound) from Main
Avenue South to Rainier Avenue South CS.R. 167)
5 . Main Avenue South (S.R. 515 ) from South Grady Way
to South 3rd Street CS. R. 90Q ) .
The speed limit on the following designated streets is hereby
established to be thirty miles per hour C30 m.p.h. ) :
l. Sunset Boulevard North, Sunset Boulevard Northeast, and
Northeast Sunset Boulevard (S.R. 900) from Maple Valley
Highway (S.R. 169) easterly to city limits .

The speed limit on the following designated streets is hereby established to be
forty miles per hour (40 m.p.h.) :
l. That portion of West Valley Highway (S.R.181) located within. the city
limi.ts of Renton.
The speed limit on the following designated streets is hereby established to be
forty-five miles per hour (�.5 m.p.h.) :
l. East Valley Road from Southwest 16th Street to south city limits.
