RESOLUTION NO. /;W/
WHEREAS the City of Renton has a continuing and vital interest in the traffic
problem of this community and its environs, and
WHEREAS construction has been underway for sometime past for a limited access
highway through the City of Renton, and
WHEREAS it is recommended and in the public interest that adequate land-
scaping and beautification be provided along and abutting said freeway; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The above findings are true and correct in all respects; and the
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to forward copies of this
Resolution requesting prompt action for the implementation of an adequate landscaping
and beautification program abutting and adjoining the limited access highway throughout
the City of Renton and that the State of Washington Good Roads Association be likewise
requested to go on record in favoring such program and to use its good offices to
forward such request to the appropriate governmental agencies.
