RESOLUTION NO, /3-Z
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL
WATER MAINS AND APPURTENANCES THERETO BETWEEN THE NORTHWESTERLY
AND SOUTHEASTERLY BOUNDARIES OF CEDAR RIVER SUMMER HOME SITES
IN THE CITY OF RENTON, AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
TO ASSESS THE FULL COST AND EXPENSE OF SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST
THE PROPERTIES IN SUCH DISTRICT SPECIALLY BENEFITED THEREBY; AND
NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT TO SAID IMPROVEMENT
TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON OCTOBER 11 , 1965.
WHEREAS there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or
about August 11, 1965 a petition for creation of a local improvement district duly
signed by the owners of property aggregating a majority of the lineal frontage upon
the improvement and of the area within the proposed district and which petition is in
compliance with RCW 35.43.120 et seq; and
WHEREAS the City Council is willing to declare its intention to construct
and install said improvements in support of said petition, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 : The above recitals and facts are hereby found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION 2: That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Renton, Washington, in support of the aforesaid petition, to construct and install
the following water mains, hydrants, and appurtenances thereto within the following
named streets of the City of Renton, to-wit:
142nd Place S.E. in the Plat of Cedar River Summer Home Sites,
Lots 1 - 21, inclusive.
There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and installation of
all necessary valves, fittings, couplings, connections, equipment and appurtenances,
and the acquisition of any easements., rights«of-ways and land that may be required;
and there shall be included the performance of such work as may be incidental and
necessary to the foregoing construction and installation.
The City Council may modify the details of the foregoing described improvement
where in its judgment it appears advisable, provided such modifications do not sub-
stantially alter the plan of said improvement. All of the foregoing shall be in
accordance yith the plans and specifications therefor to be prepared by Jack Wilson,
the City Engineer.
SECTION 3: That the entire cost and expense of said improvement shall be
borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by such improvement to

be included in the local improvement district to be established, embracing as n�^r
may be all property specially benefited by such improvement. That there shall be
included in the cost and expense of said improvement all cost items specified in
RCW 35.44.020. The mode of payment for the said improvement shall be by the levyin;
of special assessments, according to the benefits upon the property included in sairi
assessment district as the same shall be hereafter established and determined, as
provided by law.
SECTION 4: That all persons who may desire to object to the improvement
herein described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a
meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall,
Renton, Washington at 8:00 o'clock P.M. ( .,) on October U ,
1965, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to
said proposed improvement and all objections thereto.
SECTION 5: Jack Wilson, City Engineer, or his duly authorized repro
