AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REN.TON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 6-2004 OF CHAPTER 20, TITLE
VI (POLICE REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE
' CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO TAXING CERTAIN
GAMBLING ACTIVITIES
THE'"CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTTON I: Existing Section 6-2004 .of Chapter 20 ,
TITLE VI (Police Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code
of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to
' read as follows :
Sectiori 6-2004, as amended: - TAX LEVIED: Pursuant to
Chapter 218 , Laws of Washington, 1973 First Extraordinary Session,
and as thereafter amended by Chapte� 135 and 155, Laws of Washington,
1974 Third Extraordinary Session, there is hereby levied upon all
persons, associations and organizations who have been duly licensed
by the Washington State Gambling Commission, as authorized by law,
the following tax:
(A) To conduct or operate any bingo games , raffles
and a.musement games a tax rate of ten peresit (10 0)
of the gross revenue received. therefrom, less the
actual net amount paid by such persrn, association or
organization for or as prizes ;
(B). For the conduct or operation of any .pulltabs , a
tax rate of five percent .( 5%) of the gross �ceipts from
such pulltabs;
(C) For the conduct or operation of any licensed
premises or facility. used to glay card games, as �,

permitted by. the abo.ve referenced State Law, a
tax rate of �'a:v�-Hundred Dollars ($5 0 0. 0 0) annual].y
or ten percent (10%) of the grass receipts or revenue
received fram such activity, whichever is greater,
for the privilege of �aying in card games, per
establishnierit. The minimum fee may be paid on a

Five Dollars ($125 .Q0) per quarter and any balance
, due shall be p�aid as set far�h in �ection 6-2007

l. Each sueh licensee shall promptly furnish
unto the Director of Finance, City of Rentan,
a �rue and correc� copy of ail quarterly reparts
fil.ed with the State af Washington Ga�nbling
Commi.ssion and sueh repart Shall be due �he City
wifihin five (5) days af�er same has been: filed with
the afarementioned State agency.
SECTION II: Al1 the terms and provisions of Chapter 20
of Title VI (Palice Regulations) af Ordinance No. 1628 erititled
`TCode of General Ordinances of the City of Re.nton" , unZess ex�ressly
modified here'inabave, shall remain in full �orce an.d effeet.
SECTION III : This Ordinance .shall be effective an and '
after January l, 1976 and upon its passage, approval and five days
after its. publ:i.cation.
