CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO.. 3031 � II AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON. A `WHEREAS -under_ the provisions of RCW_ 35.13.130, as amended, a petition�?in`writing requesting that certain territory contiguous to the City� of Renton, as hereinafter more particularly described, � be annexed to the City of Renton, was duly presented and filed with � the City. Clerk on or about January 5 , 1976 , and � E7� ~r WHEREAS prior to. the filing and circulation of said petition cJ � for annexation to fihe City. of Renton, the .petitioning owners duly notified the City Council of their intention to commence such pro- ceedings as provided by law, and as more particularly specified ' in RCW 35 13 . .125 and upon publ.ic hearing thereon, it having been determined and the :petitioning owner.s having so agreed to assume the pre-existing bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton as same pertains to the territory petitioned to be annexed; and to accept that portion of the City� s. Comprehensive Plan as same per.tains to the subject territory including the applicable zoning code relating thereto., and WHEREAS the Planning Department has duly examined and I � verified the signatures on said petition for annexation and determined the asses.sed valuation of all the properties, the same being in excess of 750 of the area to_ be annexed, in value, as provided by law and said petition also setting forth. .the legal description of the property according to go.vernment .legal subdivision or plat, and the Planning Commission of the City of Renton having duly con- sidered and recommerided the annexing of said property to the City of Renton; and WHEREAS the City Council fixed January. 26 , 197.6 , at 8 : 00 P.M. as the time and place for public hearing in the City Council -1- r ' , _ , � . i ` .w . . ,.� ,. , ` ' � � Chambers , City Hall, Renton, Wash'ington, upon said pet.ition and notice ther.eof having beeri duly given as prov.ided by. law, and WHEREAS pursuant to said notice a public hearing has been held at .the time and place specified in the aforesaid notice and the Council having duly considered all matters in connection � with said petition and further. determined that all legal requirements '� and procedures of the law applicabl.e to. the petition method for � � annexation as specified in RCW. 35 .13.130 et .seq have beeri duly � � complied with, and t"�- f'`�- , WHEREAS a proper. "No.tice of Intention" having been filed with the King County Boundary Review Board as required by law, and said Boundary Review Board having duly waived - ts jurisdiction i;isereove� as per its letter dated hta 5, 19i�. y I . NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL �F THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : SE�CTION I : The aforesaid findin s recitals and deter- g � minations are hereby, found to be. tr.ue and correct in all respects; all requirements of the law in regard to_ the annexation by petition method, including the .provi.sions of RCW 35.13.125 , 130, 140., I50 I and Chapter 189 , Session Laws. of 1967 ,� have beeri duly complied with.
