AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 5-2203 (C)
(2), CHAPTER 22 OF TITLE V (BUSINESS�REGU-
LATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED
: "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF CITY
OF RENTON" RELATING TO TAX ON MOVIE
ADMISSION CHARGES BY ESTABLISHING A
NEW EFFECTIVE DATE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS: '
SECTION I: Existing Section 5-2203 (C) (2) of Chapter 22 of Title V (Business
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City
of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5-2203 (C) (2), as amended: In addition thereto, there is hereby
imposed and levied upon every person who pays such an admission charge, a tax of
three percent (3%) on each admission charge, effective March 1, 1979. Every person
receiving an admission charge upon which an admission tax is levied under this Chapter
shall collect the amount of the tax imposed upon the person paying the admission
charge. Such admission tax shall be deemed to be held in trust by the person required '
to collect the same until remitted to the Director of Finance as hereinaftaer provided.
The admission tax imposed in this Chapter shall be collected at the time the admission
charge is paid. Said admission tax is in addition to all other tax or license fees �
� imposed by law.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval
and five da s after its ublication.
