AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON � WHEREAS .under the provisions of P.CW 35.13 .130, �as amended, � a petition in wriC.irig requesting that certain territory contiguous to �.. � the City of Renton, as hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to the City of Renton, was duly pzesented an� filed with the City Clerk on or about January '18, 1977 , and , . WHEREAS prior to the fil•ing and circulation of said petition for annexation to the City of Renton, the petitioning owners. duly 1 � ` . . ' . • . , . i f � • notified the City Council of their intention to commence such proceedings � � as provided by law, and as more particularly specif'ied in�RCT,a 35 .13 .125 and upon publ.ic hearing th.erean, it having been determined and the petitioning owners having so agreed to assume the pre-existing bonded indebtednes,s of th.e City of Renton as same �ertains to the territory petitioned to be annexed; and to accept that portion of the Cit.y' s ' Compre.hensive Plan as same pertains to the subject territory including th.e applicable zoning code relating thereto, and • WHEREAS th.e Planning ,Department has duly examined and veri�ied th.e signatures on said petition for annexati.on and determined th_e assessed valuation of all the properti.es , the same being in excess of 75% of the area to be annexed, in value, as provided by law and said petition also setting forth. the legal description of the property accord�ng to government legal subdivision or plat and the Planning ' Department of th.e City of Rentor_ having duly considered and recommended I th_e annexing of sai.d property to the City of Renton; and � i WHEREAS the City Council fi,xed November 6 , . 1978 at 8 :00 P.M, as th.e time and place for public hea.ring in the City Council Chambers , c�ty xaii, Renton, Washington, upon said petition and notice thereof having been duly given as pro'vided by law, and _ j � , � . ;. •r' « . � � I WHEREAS pursuant to said notice a public hearing has been held at the time and place specified in �he aforesaid notice and the , Caun�il having duly considered all matters in Qonnection with said � petition and further determined that all legal requirements and, procedures � of the law applicable to the petition method for annexation as specified � �, ��,-'.,. i.n RCW 35 . 13 . 1.30 et seq have been �dulys complied��with, . , � �. . - � �'' WHEREAS a proper "Notice of Intention" having .be�n�.filed .with . � `r the King County Boundary Review Board as. requir�ed by �law, and said Boundary Review Boarc� having duly conside�ed the matter; �; approved said �etition for annexation on April 8 , 1979 , NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : , SECTION I : The aforesaid findings , recitals and determinations r are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects ; all requirements of the law in regard to the annexation by petition method, including the provisions of RCW 35 . 13 .125 , 130, 140 , 150 and Chapter 189 , Session Laws of 1967 , have been duly cor.iplied with, It is furth.er determined that the abc�ve mentioned territory hereinbelow described be and the same is hereby approved and granted; the following described property being contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton anc� such ann,exation to be effective on and after th.e approval , passage ancl. publication of this Ordinance; and on and after said date said property shall be and constitute a part of the City of Renton and sha11 be subject to its laws and ordinances th_en and thereafter in force and ef.fect; sai.d property being descrit�ed as follows : See Exhibit "A" attacr.ed hereto and made a part h.ereof as if fully set forth herei_.r� � and the owners-petitioners of the a�oredescribed property shall assume the pre-existing bonded inc�ebtednes:; of the City of Renton, as prescribed � -2- O #3316 : � • r • . �� . � , - � in RCW 35. 13 . 125 as it �ertains to th.e above described property, and, said proper�y to be likewise subject to the City' s Comprehensive Plan , and Zoning Code.
