An Ordinance of the City of Renton, Washington,
Annexing Certain Territory to the City of Renton
WHEREAS under the provisions of 'Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session Laws of
the State of Washington, as amended, a petition in writing requesting that certain
territory contiguous to the city limits of the City of Renton, as hereinafter more
particularly described, be annexed to the City, was prepared and filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about October 20, 1959, bearing the signa-
tures of tle owners of more than seventy-five per cent (75,14) in value according
to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the territory for which annex-
ation is petitioned herein, which petition sets forth the legal description of
the property according to governmental legal subdivision or plats, and was
accompanied by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of the territory peti-
tioned to be annexed and the city having duly determined that said petition fully
complied with all the requirements of the law and the city council being desirous
of entertaining said petition; and the Planning Commission of the City of Renton
having heretofore considered and recommended the annexing of said property to
the City; and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Renton fixed Tuesday, November 3,
1959 at 8:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Renton, as the time and place for public hearing upon said petition, and public
notice thereof having been given as required by law, including publication in
the Cityfs legal newspaper, inviting all interested persons to appear thereat
and voice approval or disapproval of or objections to the proposed annexation,
and a public hearing having been held at the time and place specified in aforesaid
notice and said hearing been continued from time to time, and the Council having
been advised in the premises and having heard all matters and interested parties
in connection therewith, and the granting of said petition being deemed proper
and advisable and in the public interest, NOW THFREFCRE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE M4YOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
FOLLO:WTS :
SECTION I: Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 128 and of the 1945 Session
Laws of the State of Washington, as amended, it is determined that the above
mentioned petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the Property and

and territory hereinbelow described be and it is hereby approved and granted,
and the following described property being contiguous to the city limits of
the City of Renton situated in King County, Sate of Washington, be and the
same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton, effective on and after the passage,
approval and publication of this Ordinance; and'on and after that date said
territory shall constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be subject to
all the laws and ordinances then thereafter enforced; said property being
described as follows:
"That portion of the NW 1/4 of Section 5 T 23N R5E W.M. lying east of the
easterly right of way line of Lake Washington Blvd; west of the east right
of way line of Primary State Highway ## 1 and north of the existing City
limits of Renton. Also that portion of SW 1/4 of Section 32 T 24N R5E
W.M. lying east of the east right of way line of 104th Ave. S.E.; south
of the north right of way line and S.E. 96th Street extended to the east
right of way line Primary State Highway #1 and west of the east right of
way line of Primary State Highway ## 1. Also that portion of the SW 1/4
of Section 32 T 24N R5E W.M. lying west of the east right of way line of
104th Ave. S.E.; south of the north right of way line S.E. 93rd Street.
Also that portion of the N.E. 1/4 of Section 6 T 23N R5E W.M. lying
northeasterly of Lake Washington Blvd. Also that portion of the S.W.
1/4 of Section 32 T 24 N R5E W.M. lying west of the east right of way line
of 100th Ave. S.E.; north of the north right of way line of S.E. 93rd St.
and south of the easterly right of way line of Lake Washington Blvd,
Also that portion of the SE 1/4 of Section 31 T 24N R5E W.M. lying east
of the easterly right of way line of Lake Washington Blvd.", all situated
in King County, St&te.of Washington.
SECTICN II. The -above described annexed property contiguous to Precinct
No. j C) of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of Precinct No.
,. D of the City of Renton.
SECTION III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law. A certified
copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of King County Commissioners,
King County, State of Washington.
