ORDINANCE 1\10. 1838
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
VACATING A PORTION OF 11TH PLACE NORTH, RENTON
HIGHLANDS, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF RENTON, KING
COUNTY, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, a proper petition for the vacating of a portion of a
certain street, as hereinafter more particulaiiy described, was duly filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Penton on or about February 10, 1960, signed by:
all of the owners of the property abutting upon said portion of the street sought
to be vacated, which petition was read at the regular meeting of the City
Council and the City Council resolved that a public hearing be held on said
Petition and the vacation of a portion of said street and the 10th day of May,
1960, having been so fixed as the date aE public hearing and WHEREAS the City
Clerk has duly caused notice of such hearing to be published and to be posted
for the time and in the manner provided by law; and the Planning Commission of
the City of Renton having duly approved said Petition after due investigation
and study; and WHEREAS a public hearing was duly held upon said Petition on the
day so fixed, and no protest or objections to the granting of said petition on
the vacation of a portion of said street having been made, filed or received,
and the City Council did at that time vote to grant said petition for vacating,
together with certain stipulations, and the City Council further finding that the
vacation of the hereinafter described portion of street is proper and advantageous
to all concerned and will serve the public interest and will not cause injury
or damage to any properties or persons, but the granting of said petition being
deemed in the public interest; NOtd THEREFORE,
AS FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
SECTION I: The following described portion of 11th Place`N,to-wit:
from its intersection with 11th Avenue North to its inter-
section with "K" Street, all located in the Renton Highlands,
Renton, King County, Washington,
is hereby vacated; provided however that the petitioners -abutting owners of
said portion of the street so vacated improve for vehicular traffic the existing
right of way, presently;unimproved, known as 12th Place from its intersection
- 1 -
with 11th Avenue North .to: 12th Avenue North.
SECTION II: The City hereby retains any and all easements presently
existing and located within that portion of 11th Place heretofore vacated.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its
passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 17th day of May, 1960.
