AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-3) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1).
WHEREAS under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps and plans
adopted in conjunction therewith, a proper petition for a change of zone classi-
fication of certain properties hereinbelow more particularly described to
BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the CITY OF RENTON
on or about August 10, 1960, and
,WHEREAS said petition was duly submitted to the Planning Commission
for investigation, public hearing and study, and a public hearing having been
held thereon on September 14, 1960, in the Council Chambers of the CITY OF RENTON,
all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law,
and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition
and determined that such rezoning is in the public interest and for the general
welfare; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLWWS :
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the CITY OF
RENTON is hereby rezoned to BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) and the City Engineer is
hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of
the CITY OF RENTON to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as
follows:
That portion of Government Lot 8, Section 17, Township 23 North,
Range 5 East W.M., King County, Washington described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the East line of said Lot 8,
with the Southerly margin of the Maple Valley Highway; thence
along said Southerly margin N 56043147++ W. 167.181 to the true
point of beginning; thence continuing N 560.3,47" W 278.591
thence S 32052'13" W. 63.181; thence S 11056,1311 W. 39.521;
thence S 5604314711 E. 326.32,; thence N 1014,1311 E. 117.96, to
the true point of beginning.
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and Ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON
and in compliance with the plans and specifications heretofore submitted by
Petitioner -Owner of said property.

SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect, from
and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 27th day of September, 1960.
