AS FOLL04S:
SECTION I: Existing Section 4-728 of Title IV (Building Regulations)
of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Renton" as follows:
4-728: APPEALS: Any interested citizen or administrative officer
of the City may appeal to the Council from any ruling of the
Planning Commission pertaining to the granting or denial of any
permit applied for hereunder when such ruling is adverse to his
interests, by filing with the Secretary of the Planning Commission
within ten (10) days from such ruling a written notice of appeal.
Thereupon the Secretary of the Planning Commission shall forthwith
transmit to the Council copies of all papers constituting the record
upon .which the action appealed from was taken, and in addition
thereto, the Council may at its hearing receive such farther evidence
as seems to it relevant. Upon due and public hearing, the Council
shall have pa-rer by vote of three-fourths (3/4) of the councilmen
present to overrule or alter any such ruling of the Planning
Commission pertaining to the granting or withholding cff any permit
so applied for.
BE AND THE SATE IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLTJ_VS:

public hearing the City Council may affirm or alter or overrule aW such ruling
of the Planning Commission pertaning to the granting or withholding of any permit
or petition so applied for and may grant or deny same. In the event the City

Council decides to overrule the decision of the Planning Conami.ssion, tine vote of
a majority of all Councilmen elected shall be required for said purpose.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passages approval and legal publication.
