AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON„ WASHINGTON9 CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF, RENrON FROM
GENERAL CLASSIFICATION TO RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-3)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance
No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended,
and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has heretofore been zoned as General Classification District; and
WHERFAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a
proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described
property has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton by the owner of
said property on or about December 5, 1961 and thereafter referred to the Planning
Commission for investigation, study and public hearing thereon and a public hear
ing having been held on January 24, 1962 in the Council Chambers of the City of
Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided
by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition
and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition
thereto;, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF IM CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is
hereby rezoned to Residential District (R -m3); and the City Engineer and the Plan.
ning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning
ordinances of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being
described as follows:
Parcel l
That portion of Lots 4 and 5, Block 3, of Benson Road Tracts, an unrecorded
plat in the southeast 4 of the_SW4 of Section 20, Twp.,23N, R 5E, W.M.,
in King County, Washington, lying. southwesterly of,the Bonneville Power
Administration transmission line right of way, said lots being more parti,-
cularly described as follows:
Beginning at the quarter corner on the south line of said Section 20;
thence south 85012112" west 629.19 feet; thence north 6013*18" east 661.20;ft.;
thence easterly 626.53 feet to a point which bears north 0008'49•' east
635.58 feet from the quarter corner on the south line of said section 20;
thence south 0008'49" west 635.58 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPT
county roads.
Parcel 2
=tract of land situated in the southwest quarter of section 20, township
23 north, range 5 east, W.M., in King County, Washington, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the south boundary line of
said section 20 with the easterly line of the Benson County Road; thence north
erly along the easterly line of said County Road 395.64 feet; thence north
87031.4111 east 772.44 feet; thence south 0013.18" west 345.83 feet to the
south boundary line of said section 20; thence along the last described
line south 85012.12" west 617.94 feet to the point of beginning,
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
