AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENCE' DISTRICT (R"2) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B, -,l)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance
No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended,
and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zoned as Residence District (R-32); and
WHEREAS under the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for
change of zoning classification of the hereinbelow described property has been filed
with the City Clerk by the owner of said property, which petition was so filed on
February 6, 1962, and thereafter referred to the Planning Commission for investigation,
study and public hearing thereon, and a public hearing having been held on February 28,
1962 in the Council Chambers of the CITY OF RENTON, all pursuant to notice of hearing
duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly
considered and studied said petition and all parties having been heard appearing in
support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE
FOLLOWS:
BE.IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby
rezoned to Business Use District (B",1) and the City Engineer and the Planning Director
are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the
CITY OF RENTON to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as:
Lot 5, Block 1, Car Works Addition to Renton, all situated in Renton,
King County, Washingtonr�, iec,,�Qe�► � _ �5- P&O t 7 of
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the CITY OF RENTON.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
