AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN, THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
GENERAL.CLASSIFICA TION DISTRICT TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No.
1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended,
and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow described
have heretofore been zoned as General Classification District; and
WHERRAS,under the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for
change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described properties has been
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about April 3, 1962, and
thereafter referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public
hearing, and a public hearing having been held on said matter on or about April 25,
1962 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing
duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having
duly considered and studied said petition, and all parties having been heard Appear-
ing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) as specified below; the City
Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change
the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning;
said property being described as follows:
Beginning 300' East of and 855.96' south of the northwest corner of the
Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 8, Township 23 N., Range
5, East W.M., thence North 85°14'00" west 111.40' thence south 1748100" west
153.59' thence south 89034'01" East•87.72' more or less to the westerly.
margin of Sunset Highway (PSH#2), thence northeasterly along the westerly
margin of Sunset Highway 142,.80' more or less, thence North 15.35' to the
point of beginning, all situate in King County, State .of Washington.
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
