AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON., CHANGING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF
RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (S-1) TO BUSINESS
DISTRICT (B-1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No.
1628 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton'' as amended, and
the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow described havE
heretofore been zoned as Suburban Residence District (S-1); and
WHEREAS a proper petition for change of zone classification of said propertin-.:
has been filed with the City on or about February 6, 1964, which petition was then
referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing, and,
a public hearing having been held thereon on or about February 26, 1964, all pursuant
to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said PlanninS
Commission having duly considered and recommended said rezoning, and all parties
having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto, NOW THEcRE'r'C.-7
FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
Section 1: The following described parcel of property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) and the City Engineer and the
Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zonin;
Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning:
The S 225' which lies perpendicular to the south line of the follow-
ing described property::
The S 550.92' measured along the east margin of Rainier Blvd.,
of the following described tract: That portion of Government Lots 11
and 14 in Section 18, Twp. 23 N., R I E.,W.M. lying east of Rainier
Blvd. and State Highway No. 2, N of a line extended east from the
S. E. corner of Lot 28, Block 10, Earlington, according to Plat
thereof recorded in Vol. 14 of Plats, Page 7, records of King Count,
Washington, and lying South of County Rd. No. 80, together with that
portion of Tract 3 of Renton Shorelands adjoining; situate in County
of King, State of Washington.
Section 2:: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and aft( -:-
its passage, approval and legal publication.
