I"HMAS, it is deeded necessary and advantageous to the City
of Renton that a swimming pool and bath houses and dressing rooms
therefor be constructed, and a heating system therefor be installed,
and the same be na.id for by the issuance and sale of general
obligation bonds of said City in the principal sum of One Hundred
Thousand Dollars; and
;�r�EREAS, it is deemed necessary to submit the proposition of
the construction of the same and the issuance of said bonds to the
peonle of the City for their ratification or rejection; and
BEREAS, it is to the best interest of said City that attorneys
skilled in such proceedings be employed to draft the necessary
ordinances, notices and documents therefor and to give their opinion
as to the validity of said bonds at the time of their sale;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Renton, Washington, as follows:
Section 1. That PRESTON, THORGRIYSON, HOROWITZ & TURNER,
attorneys at law of Seattle, Washington, be and they are hereby
employed to perform the services above set forth; and said City
agrees to pay them as compensation therefor the sum of Four
Hundred Dollars, and, in addition thereto, to nay all cash
expenditures made by said counsel for the purpose of nerforming
said services; provided, however, that if said proposition shall

not carry, then said City agrees to pay said counsel the sum
of Two Hundred Dollars for their services. Said City further
agrees to furnish a complete transcript of all proceedings
taken in the matter of the issuance and sale of said bonds
to said counsel at their offices in Seattle, Washington,
