WHEREAS, the NORTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD is the owner of
a certain ght-of-way) portion thereof being. hereinbelow described
and WHEREAS said Railroad has declared its intention totdedicate
portion of said right-of-way unto the CITY OF RENTON (for public uses
and purposes and WHEREAS the CITY OF RENTON considers such acquisition
of benefit to the City and for the use and enjoyment of the public in
general, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of Renton hereby agrees to (accept
from the Northern Pacific Railroad upon �edicationunto the .City of
Renton for all public uses and purposes the following described prop-
erty:
A strip of land 201 wide in the NEI of Section 188
Township 23 North, Range 5 east, W.M. situated in
the City of Renton, Washington more particularly
described as follows:
The westerly 201 of the Northern Pacific Railway
right-of-way in said Section 18, bounded on the
north by the south line of the Commercial Waterway
No. 2 and on the south by a line drawn 34.51 north
of and parallel to the south line of Lot 10, Block
4, of the Motor Line Additi on to the City of Renton..
Washington recorded in Volume 9, Page 50, records
of King County, Washington; said strip lying north
of a 231 strip of land deeded to the City of Renton
in Northern Pacific Railway document W-5276.
