ORDINANCE NO. 1435
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON.. WASHINGTON,
ANNE)aNG TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON*
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapt.126 of the 1945 Session
Laws of the State of Washington, a petition in writing requesting that
certain property ecntiguous to the City limits of the City of Renton,
hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to the City of Renton,
was presented and filed with the City Council on the 15th day of April,
1952, bearing the signatures of the owners of more than seventy-five
percent (`l5%), to -wit one hundred percent (100%), in value according to
assessed valuation for g eneral taxation of the property for rich annexa-
tion is petitioned therein, which petition sets forth the legal descrip-
tion of the property according to Government legal sub-e!ivision, or
legal plats, and is accompanied by plat or drawing outlining the boundaries
of the territory petitioned to be annexed; and the Planning Commission of
the City of Renton having considered and recommended the annexing of said
property to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Renton by Resolution adopted at its
regular meeting on May 22, 1952, fixed Tuesday, June 10, 1952, at d P.M.
at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Renton..
Washington, as the time and place for public hearing upon said petition,
and a notice of said hearing specifying the time and place thereof, in-
viting all interested persons to appear thereat and voice approval or
disapproval of or objection to the proposed annexation, ana said notice
having
been duly published as provided
by law,
and true copies or said
notice
having been duly posted in three
public
places within the terri-
tory proposed ror annexation more than one week prior to sAid date of
hearing; and
WHEHEAS, pursuant to such Resolution and notice a public hearing
011 said petition has been held by the Oity Oo;,nci1 of Renton at the time
and place specified in the aforesaid notice, to -wit: June 10, 1952,
at 8 o'clock P.M. and no objections written or oral to the proposed
annexation having been tiled or made at such hearing, and the granting
of such petition being deemed proper and advisable, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Pursuant to provisions of Chapt. 128 of the 1945 Sessiont�
Laws of the State of. Washington, it is determined that the above mentioned
petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the property & territory
hereinbelow described be and it hereby is approved and granted, and the
following described property, being contiguous to the City limits of the
City of Renton situated in the County of Ding, State of Washington, be
and the same hereby is annexed to the City of Renton, effective on or
after the 15th day of August, 1952, and on and after that date said
territory shall constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be
subject to all the laws and ordinances of the- City of Renton then.A&ere-
after enforced; said property berg described as follows:
That portion of SE Quarter of the NE Quarter of Section 17
TWP 23 N Range 5 EWM, situated in'fling County, Washington, more
partibularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point off the 1/16 section line 1325.83 feet west
and 252.22 feet north of the east quarter corner of Section 17;
thence north along said 1/16 line to the south margin of the
Mount Olivet Cemetery Road;' thence following along said road
South 65008+50" east, 123.72 feet; thence on a curve to the left
with a radius of 507.68 feet, a distance of 205.66 feet; thence
North 170371.30" east,, 23.5.48 feet to a curve to right with a,,
radius of 3.70 feet) through an angle of 165008!-; . thence
South 5604513011 west,+ 114.62 feet; thence on a curve to the "left
with radius- of 317.94 feet a distance of 162.58 feet;thence South
27019130" west, 87.01.E feet; thence on a curve to, the left with
radius of 317.94 feet a distance of 159.58 feet; thence South
1026100" East, 182.71 feet; thence South 3001145`1 West, 231.12
feet.; thence on a curve to the left with radius of 236.29 feet,
a distance of 112.63 feet; thence South 3103214511 West, 182.42
feet; thence North 13904511511 west,130.80 feet, to point of
beginning.
Section 2: The above described annexed property contiguous to
Precinct No. /.S -sof Ward 1 of the City of Renton, shall be and con-
stitute a part of Precinct No. A!C� of Ward 1 of said City of` Renton.
Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full f once and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law;

and said annexation shall be effective on and after the 15th day of
August, 1952; and a certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed
with the Board of County Commissioners of King County, Washington, as
provided by law.
